X-Fi Bravura DTS Connect Driver Coming in Q2 with Windows 7, Vista, and XP Support
Santa Clara, CA: Auzentech, Inc (www.auzentech.com) has rescheduled the Auzen X-Fi Bravura 7.1 sound card DTS Connect™ driver for Q2 of 2010. According to sources at Auzentech, the schedule allows for additional development and certification testing before release, as well as expanded operating system support.
The Auzen X-Fi Bravura 7.1 product page had originally listed DTS Connect support for Windows 7 and Vista. Now, Auzentech has added Windows® XP to the list of supported operating systems. The new schedule was first announced via the Auzen X-Fi Bravura 7.1 product page on March 1.
With the DTS Connect driver update, the Auzen X-Fi Bravura 7.1 will be able to deliver a multi-channel audio bitstream compatible with DTS-enabled surround systems through a coaxial or optical connection.

Auzentech Announces Support Staff Recruitment, Training
Santa Clara, CA: Auzentech, Inc (www.auzentech.com) announced today that it is in the process of hiring and training additional support staff due to increased volume of support requests in 2009. The additional staff are expected to come online in January.
For product support, Auzentech customers place support tickets at the Auzen Support Desk. "The demands on our Support Team have more than doubled this year," said Auzentech's Online Marketing Manager Phillip Honstein. "As a result, the staff has fallen behind to a degree that all of us at Auzentech find unacceptable."
Honstein explained that the introduction of four sound cards in 2009; the decision to support state-of-the-art, secure audio path technologies that allow lossless audio playback; and the release of a new Microsoft operating system had all contributed to the increase in support requests.
Auzentech expects the new staff to have completed training and begin supporting customers in January.
Auzentech also provides an online service to encourage communication among Auzentech customers, the Auzen Community. However, Honstein was quick to point out that the Auzen Community is a place for users to speak to each other, whereas the Auzen Support Desk is a place to talk directly to Auzentech support.

Auzentech Releases Driver Patch for X-Fi HomeTheater HD Sound Card
Santa Clara, CA: Auzentech, Inc. (www.auzentech.com) has announced the second driver patch for Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD, an HDMI 1.3a compliant, PCI Express™ sound card. The patch was pre-released on November 6.
This patch will correct two bugs in many systems: problems with audio after sleep mode, and a side and rear speaker-swap issue. Pre-release feedback indicates that some systems may need an additional patch to correct these issues, and development continues toward that end.
This patch will upgrade the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD driver to "RC 4.2." To download the latest driver for this or other Auzentech soundcards, visit the driver download page and click the link for your sound card.

Auzentech Solves Static Issue on Older-Model Denon AV Receivers; Offers Firmware Updates
Dear Auzentech Customers:
Auzentech (www.auzentech.com) is pleased to announced that it has found a solution to problems of audio static when the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD is connected to older-model Denon AV Receivers. A firmware update to the X-Fi HomeTheater HD Sound Card has been created to correct the problem.
Background
As first reported in a September 4 Open Letter from Auzentech, Denon AV Receivers manufactured in early 2008 or before may produce static during playback of high definition bitstream audio with the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD sound card.
Although Denon did not respond to Auzentech's attempts to communicate about the problem, we located and purchased some earlier Denon receivers for analysis, and were successful in diagnosing the trouble.
Problem
Auzentech engineers found that earlier Denon receivers read HDMI audio sources differently than do newer models, or other receivers on the market. We do not know why the older units were designed to perform differently. However, you should not experience this problem if you own a more recently manufactured Denon receiver or a different brand of receiver.
Solution
To adapt the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD to the unique HDMI implementation on Denon's older receivers, Auzentech will apply an X-Fi HomeTheater HD firmware update for anyone affected by the problem. The update will be performed by Auzentech or an authorized Auzentech dealer or technician.
If you are an owner of the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD and an older model receiver exhibiting audio static during high definition bitstream audio, please email Auzentech at the address listed below. We will provide guidance on how to update your product.
Terms
This firmware update offer includes shipping to and from Auzentech or its representatives. After December 31, 2009, the firmware update will still be available but will be governed by the terms of the warranty, which do not include free shipping.
Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD sound cards shipped directly to customers from the Auzentech online store after October 19, 2009 will already have the firmware update applied. Models purchased in retail stores may have the original firmware, but are eligible for the update.

New Windy6 Downloads Include Firmware Update and New Block Diagram Control Panel
Santa Clara, CA: Auzentech, Inc (www.auzentech.com) partner SIMS Corp, a leading worldwide producer of digital musical products, has released driver version 4.40, control panel 4.40, and Firmware Upgrade version 7962 for the Windy6 Audio Interface.
Following the updates, Windy6 users have access to two control panels: a "Mechanical" version and a "Block Diagram" version. Both are actual GUIs used to control the interface.
The updates are available via the download section of the Infrasonic Web site, at http://www.infra-sonic.com. Please read the following installation steps before beginning.
Installation Steps
Install the firmware update first using any Windows computer with 32-bit Windows XP or Vista installed.
For Windows PCs, install the new software driver on the computer with which you use the Windy6. Mac computers do not need the software driver.
Finally, install the new Windy6 Control Panel on the Windows or Macintosh computer with which you use the Windy6.

For the Auzentech X-Plosion, X-Plosion 7.1 Cinema, and X-Mystique 7.1 Gold sound cards, a new Windows® 7 driver was posted on September 24. The driver corrects problems with certain applications that would fail to open or activate in Windows 7.
For the Auzentech X-Studio 5.1 sound card, a new driver was posted today for use with Windows XP and Vista. This driver corrects an Audio Deck character set problem that in certain situations would display symbols instead of legible text.

The following improvements will be made to your PowerDVD software with this update from Cyberlink:
PowerDVD will now keep the HDMI output mode as pass-through mode.
PowerDVD will no longer display the wrong bit rate information in the OSD while in Hi-Def, Non-Decoded pass-through mode.
The Sept 22, 2009 update will upgrade your PowerDVD 9 Ultra software to PowerDVD 9 Ultra build 2115. If your licensed copy of the latest PowerDVD does not update itself, download the update manually from the Cyberlink.com Downloads section.

Auzentech has located and placed orders for older model Denon receivers for testing with the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD sound card. These receivers will arrive this week (September 17 or 18), and will be used to isolate the problem mentioned in our earlier Open Letter of September 4.
According to support tickets placed by our customers, Denon AV Receivers manufactured in early 2008 or before may produce static during playback of high-definition bitstream audio via the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD sound card.
Tickets suggest that the problem is be confined to AV receivers manufactured by Denon in early 2008 or before, and that you will not experience this problem if you own a more recently manufactured Denon receiver or a different brand of receiver. Our newer-model Denon receivers which we use for testing do not exhibit these problems.
It is not Auzentech's position that the receiver is at fault. Instead, we expect that there is a compatiblity issue that has resulted from changing specifications. Auzentech is still attempting to open a line of communication with Denon regarding the problem.
If you have an older model Denon AV Receiver and the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD and are experiencing this problem, the Auzentech staff regrets the inconvenience. We are working toward a solution as quickly as possible, and will post more Open Letters to keep you informed.

Update: Auzentech has rescheduled the release of the Auzentech Community Forum to between September 21 and 23 to apply a new security update to be applied to the application.
Auzentech Forums will initially focus on sound cards, but plans are in the works to cover all Auzentech product lines.
"Experienced Auzentech customers are a great resource when it comes to helping new PC audio enthusiasts set up their systems," said Phil Honstein, Auzentech's Online Marketing Manager. "The goal is to provide a place for Auzentech users to meet, share, and help each other. The Auzentech Forum is the first step." He added that more community features are "in the pipeline."

Based on these support tickets, you will not experience this problem if you own a newer Denon receiver or a different brand of receiver.Our newer-model Denon receivers which we use for testing do not exhibit these problems, for example.
Although the problem seems to be confined to AV receivers manufactured by Denon in early 2008 or earlier, we are not suggesting that the receiver is at fault. Instead, we expect that there is a compatiblity issue that has resulted from changing specifications.
If you have an older model Denon AV Receiver and are experiencing this problem, all of us at Auzentech sincerely regret the inconvenience. We intend to have a solution as quickly as possible, and will post more Open Letters to keep you informed.

Auzentech Has Shipped X-Fi HomeTheater HD Sound Cards to Customers Who Placed Pre-Orders
Santa Clara, CA: Auzentech, Inc.(www.auzentech.com) has announced that it has shipped the highly-anticipated X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD sound card to customers who placed Pre-Orders. The sound cards were shipped yesterday, August 26, in advance of shipments to retailers. A formal product release announcement is "on the way" according to Auzentech.
New X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD owners may download a Driver Update, Product Manual, a Quick Start Manual, and the latest FAQs by visiting the Resources tab on the X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD product page.
Sources at Auzentech have also reported a September 1 release for the PowerDVD™ 9 patch from Cyberlink (www.cyberlink.com). Available separately, PowerDVD allows for lossless HD Blu-ray audio playback when combined with the X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD.

An Open Letter for X-Plosion and X-Mystique Owners Using Windows XP or Vista
Dear Auzentech Customers:
Yesterday we updated drivers for the X-Plosion 7.1 Cinema and X-Mystique 7.1 Gold sound cards. Since then, a few of customers have discovered a new bug in the XP and Vista drivers which our testing had not revealed. Therefore, we have decided to withdraw the XP and Vista drivers pending further investigation. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If you are a Windows® Vista or XP user who installed the driver, we suggest that you uninstall it and replace it with the previous version. We are communicating with the chipset manufacturer regarding the problem and expect to have it addressed soon.

Auzentech's Native-PCI Express™ HDMI Sound Card Rescheduled for Q2 2009
Santa Clara, CA–April 16, 2009: Auzentech, Inc.(www.auzentech.com) has revised the release date of the Auzen X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD sound card to the first half of 2009. As with an earlier delay announced in January, the additional time is for hardware compatibility testing to ensure that the product is stable across the full spectrum of expected hardware combinations.
"We are aware that many customers, distributors, and dealers are highly anticipating the X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD sound card and are understandably becoming impatient," said Stephane Bae, president of Auzentech, Inc.
He mentioned forums in which some participants have questioned whether the soundcard will ever be released:
"We have four different companies working in five different locations across the globe collaborating on the Auzen X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD. Some of the best minds in the industry are involved," Bae said. "It's coming."
The Auzen X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD is the result of cooperation between several companies that include Auzentech, Creative Labs, Cyberlink, and Silicon Image. Today's schedule change is an extension of the final round of testing of the software and hardware as complete a package.

The patch can be installed over a previously installed X-Fi Forte driver, and is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows® XP and Vista. Improvements include muting of the Front Panel Microphone input when there is no mic plugged in, and the elimination of audio "crackling" when using DDL or DTS™ Connect (DTS™ Connect is available on Vista only using the DTS™ driver). This patch also incorporates bug fixes supplied in all earlier patches.

Auzentech's Native-PCI Express™ HDMI Soundcard Coming in Q1 2009
Santa Clara, CA–January 30, 2009: Auzentech, Inc.(www.auzentech.com) has revised the release date of the Auzen X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD sound card to March, 2009. The additional time is being used for an expanded round of hardware compatibility tests.
"This decision will directly benefit our customers, dealers, and distributors," said Stephane Bae, president of Auzentech, Inc. "At product release, we will have a stable product and our support staff will be familiar with a wider range of hardware combinations."
The Auzen X-Fi™ HomeTheater HD is the result of cooperation between several companies that include Auzentech, Creative Labs, Cyberlink, and Silicon Image. In November, Auzentech rescheduled product release to the end of January to coincide with a software release by one of its partners. Today's schedule change will allow Auzentech to complete its testing of the software and hardware as complete a package.
