Playback Resolution

Resolution is a key sound card technology. The X-Mystique sound card and X-Plosion sound card have a playback resolution of 24-bits, 96 KHz in both stereo and 7.1 channel surround sound. The X-Purity sound card is designed to provide a resolution that is 24-bit, 192 kHz.  In practical terms, this means that the audio coming from Auzentech sound cards is indistinguishable from analog sources. In fact, the majority of users will prefer the sound due to the absence of defects such as tape hiss. For comparison,  a CD 16 bit at 44.1 kHz. DVD audio has a sampling rate that is generally 24 bit/ at 96kHz; the maximum is 24 bit at 192 kHz. More »

DTS® Interactive

DTS® Interactive provides a single cable connection, either coaxial or optical, to your DTS-enabled suround sound system. Toslink optical output
